So glad I got to see Mitch a few times back in the day at the Showcase, the Chain Reaction, and some other venue I forget. Funny enough, my dad got me into Suicide Silence when I was still a lame teenage "traditionalist" metalhead listening to pure death and black metal. I was always that dumb kid shouting "death to false metal" when deathcore or tech death bands were on bills with bands like Enslaved or Suffocation. But Mitch's vocals sounded so eerie, unearthly, and powerful to me that I couldn't help but give them a chance. I'm so glad I did. I remember those years fondly, and we still talk about how awesome those shows were (and still go to deathcore shows) almost 20 years later. No vocalist gives me the same chills after all these years like Mitch. \m/ RIP!
